The SYSO Scholarship Chamber Ensemble Program provides chamber music coaching, performance opportunities and professional development for talented student chamber music ensembles.

Scholarship Chamber Ensembles serve as ambassadors for the Seattle Youth Symphony by performing public concerts and recitals for community service groups, at Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions Club and other organizations’ meetings, at arts organization functions and in educational outreach programs. In addition, Scholarship Chamber Ensembles are contracted through the SYSO office for professional concert engagements, weddings, parties and ceremonies. Scholarship Chamber Ensembles perform each spring at Benaroya Hall, in the Nordstrom Recital Hall. The goal of the program is to stimulate interest and awareness of the rich and vibrant chamber music repertoire, and to generate performance opportunities for these exceptionally talented young ensembles.

Our staff has created an informative and engaging presentation that not only highlights the mission, history and future of SYSO, but also includes performances by some of the Pacific Northwest’s most talented young musicians.
