Financial Aid

Financial Aid

Did you know that current SYSO tuition covers only 60% of our costs?

Because we strive to keep orchestra programs affordable for our students, we offer every SYSO student a 40% tuition subsidy. The gap is filled through donations and grants from individuals and organizations who believe in the SYSO mission.

We understand that even with the subsidy, however, full tuition may be a hardship on some families. Talented young musicians deserve the access to the best programs, regardless of financial means.

SYSO is proud to provide financial aid and Work Study opportunities to families in need. In recent years, our Financial Aid Committee has awarded $120,000 in tuition support. Applications for Work Study must be made through the financial aid process.

If your family would like to request financial aid for the upcoming orchestra season, fill out the two-page financial aid form and return it to the SYSO office.
