Debut Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1946 as a training group for the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra. The group remains SYSO's largest. Debut is a training orchestra for SYSO's intermediate-level players. Students in the Debut Symphony Orchestra typically advance to the Junior SYmphony Orchestra.

Debut Orchestra rehearsals are held Saturdays, 8:30am-10:45am at Shorecrest High School. Additional sectionals on Saturday mornings as scheduled on the Debut Orchestra Calendar.

The following dates have been announced for the 2012-2013 season. All performances will be at Meany Hall on the UW Campus.
